Overview

Connect Notion to search across all your workspace pages, databases, and documentation. Sorcia syncs your Notion content in real-time via webhooks.

Setup

Navigate to Integrations

Go to Integrations page in Sorcia dashboard

Click Connect

Find Notion card and click “Connect to Notion”

Select Workspace

Choose your Notion workspace from the list

Grant Access

Select which pages Sorcia can access:
  • Specific pages
  • All pages in workspace (recommended)

Authorize

Click “Allow access” to complete connection
Setup complete! Notion will begin syncing immediately.

What Gets Synced

Content Types

  • Pages - All text content, headings, lists
  • Databases - Tables, boards, galleries
  • Inline content - Callouts, quotes, code blocks
  • Nested pages - Full page hierarchy
  • Comments - Discussion threads (optional)

Excluded Content

  • Private pages (unless explicitly shared)
  • Deleted/archived pages
  • Images and media files
  • Embedded content from external sources

Page Selection

Choose specific pages to sync: 
Include:
  - Engineering Wiki
  - Product Documentation
  - Company Handbook

Exclude:
  - Personal Notes
  - Meeting Notes Archive

Permissions

Sorcia respects Notion’s permission model:
Visible to all workspace members
Users only see Notion pages they have access to in the original workspace.

Sync Behavior

Initial Sync

  • Small workspace (< 100 pages): 2-5 minutes
  • Medium workspace (100-1,000 pages): 5-15 minutes
  • Large workspace (> 1,000 pages): 15-30 minutes

Real-Time Updates

Changes sync via webhooks:
  • Page edited → Updates within 60 seconds
  • Page created → Indexed immediately
  • Page deleted → Removed from search
  • Permissions changed → Access updated

Troubleshooting

  • Verify page is shared with Sorcia integration
  • Check page isn’t in excluded list
  • Wait for sync to complete (check status)
  • Try manual re-sync
  • Re-authorize Notion integration
  • Verify workspace admin permissions
  • Check page sharing settings
  • Normal for large workspaces
  • Sync runs in background
  • Can query available pages immediately
